Answer

Phil Sawford: To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will make a statement on the co- ordination of Government policy in relation to lone parents. [220427] Mr. Milburn: The whole Government are working to provide new opportunities for loan parents, whether to improve child care or help to find a job. I can report to the House that since 1998, the new deal for lone parents has helped 300,000 lone parents into work.
