Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what assessment he has made of the investigatory powers available to the Child Support Agency to trace parents required to make child support payments. (Failed OPQ)

Answer: Ms Dari Taylor: To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what assessment he has made of the investigatory powers available to the Child Support Agency to trace parents required to make child support payments. [224429] Mr. Pond: The Government made clear in their response to the Select Committee on Work and Pensions that they are committed to keeping the investigative powers the Agency uses under review. We acknowledge that the CSA has not made the most effective use of its information gathering powers and are looking for a significant improvement in the Agency's performance in this area.
