Further to the Written Answer by the Lord Warner on 10 March 2005, 670 c91WA, why they did not introduce mandatory surveillance of methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) bloodstream infections until 2001; and when they first received medical advice which caused them to do so.
