- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, if he will make a statement on the security situation in Iraq.

Insurgents continue in their efforts to destabilise progress in Iraq. Despite a recent upsurge, the number of insurgent attacks has declined since the January elections, with Iraq Security Forces conducting a number of anti-insurgent operations, both independently and with coalition support.
