- (2) if he will re-examine the effectiveness of legislation protecting consumers from faulty goods.

The Government are committed to improving Britain's consumer regime and any intervention should be based on an evidence-based and risk-assessed approach. I have seen no evidence to suggest that the current legislation in this area is not working effectively.
