Legislation (Programming)

Question
To ask the Leader of the House if he will review the procedures for the programming of legislation.
Answer

My right hon. Friend has no plans to do so.It has not been that long since both the Modernisation Committee and the Procedure Committee looked at this subject. Following their reports, the House approved changes to the relevant Orders (including making them into permanent Standing Orders) in October 2004.
