Politically Exposed Persons

- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many bank or building society accounts held by politically exposed persons in the UK are being monitored by law enforcement agencies; and how much money is held in these accounts.

This information is not held centrally. The National Criminal Intelligence Service does not have the powers to monitor bank or building society accounts. This is a function of individual law enforcement agencies.
