Apple Production

- To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what steps he is taking to promote apple production in County Armagh.

There are no measures to promote apple production anywhere in Northern Ireland. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development provides a range of support measures to existing producers throughout Northern Ireland, including financial support through the EU Producer Organisation Scheme, research and development and industry training and technology transfer programmes.
