Income Tax

- To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has plans to increase the nil rate income tax band for trusts.

A £500 standard rate band was introduced in Finance Act 2005, below which trust income is subject to no more than the basic rate of tax. We keep all matters of taxation under review as part of the Budget process.
