Vehicle Testing

- To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what studies he has made of the vehicle testing regimes in force in other EU countries.

[holding answer 16 January 2006]: The Department for Transport is represented on the technical committee which has responsibility in the EU for vehicle roadworthiness testing, and we are therefore aware of the nature of the testing regimes which operate in other member states. We have not made any recent specific studies of them.
