Child Protection
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills what the average time between referral of a case to the Children's Safeguard Unit and its determination was in the last period for which figures are available.
- Answer
-
This information is not available. In order to progress a case to conclusion there is a process which involves giving both the individual and the referring organisation the chance to comment on information provided by each, and consideration of any relevant information from third parties. As a result, each case is unique and thus the time taken to conclude a case varies.
