Afghanistan

- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how much opium has been confiscated in Afghanistan in each of the last three years.
- Answer

There are no reliable records of opium seizures in Afghanistan before November 2004. The counter narcotics police of Afghanistan and the Afghan special narcotics force have seized approximately 165 tonnes of opium since this date.
