Written question asked by Lord Bradshaw (Liberal Democrat), in the House of Lords. It was answered by Lord Davies of Oldham (Labour) on Thursday, 2 February 2006.

Limousines: Licensing

Question
Whether they will bring forward a licensing scheme for limousines.
Answer

I refer the noble Lord to the debate on the Road Safety Bill in Hansard on 29 November (cols. 122–27). The Government are satisfied that the current licensing arrangements for passenger-carrying vehicles already adequately provide for the licensing of limousines.
