Iraq

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development how much his Department spent on reconstruction in Iraq between April 2003 and December 2005.
Answer

DFID spent £290 million in humanitarian and reconstruction assistance in Iraq between April 2003 and December 2005. DFID also provides 19 per cent. of European Community development funding: the EC spent €518 million on humanitarian and reconstruction assistance to Iraq between 2003 and 2005.
