Religious Hatred: Cartoons

Question
Whether steps have been taken within European Union (EU) institutions to give advice to EU citizens who may become involved in anti-European demonstrations in Muslim countries.
Answer

No steps have been taken within European Union institutions to give advice to EU citizens who may become involved in anti-European demonstrations in Muslim countries. It is for EU member states to issue advice to their own nationals. The UK has advised its citizens to avoid large crowds and public gatherings in those countries where there have been demonstrations following the publication of cartoons of key figures of the Islamic faith.
