Iraq

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the security situation in Iraq.
Answer

While there has been an increase in sectarian violence, particularly in and around Baghdad following the bombing of the Golden Mosque, the majority of attacks remain confined to four out of Iraq's 18 provinces.The UK's area of operation in MND(SE) remains relatively calm.
