The best centrally available records for TELIC casualty statistics are published on the Ministry of Defence website:"http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/FactSheets/OperationsInIraqBritishCasualties.htm."Work is underway to collate casualty statistics for Afghanistan. As my right hon. Friend, the Minister of State for the Armed Forces, made clear in his answer of the 27 February 2006, we have undertaken to provide casualty statistics for Afghanistan from 1 January 2006 to the same conventions as Iraq. I will write to my right hon. Friend when it is complete, and place a copy of my letter in the Library of the House.
