Parliamentary Ombudsman

- Further to the Written Answer by the Lord Bassam of Brighton on 29 March (WA 126), on how many occasions since 1997, and in respect of which specific recommendations, the Department of Health has refused or omitted to give effect to the recommendations of the Parliamentary Ombudsman.

The Department of Health has not kept central records and to obtain the information would be at disproportionate cost. However, to the best of our knowledge, there have not been occasions when we did not accept the recommendations of the Parliamentary Ombudsman.
