Tax Credits

Question
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer pursuant to the answer of 29 November 2005, Official Report, column 341W, on credit overpayments, why HM Revenue and Customs made an error in paying tax credits to claimants subject to immigration control; and if he will make a statement.
