Child Sex Offenders

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department pursuant to his answer of 18 December 2006, Official Report, columns 1660-1W, on child sex offenders, what information the prison IT system holds on the time served by prisoners convicted of sexual offences against children.
Answer

The time served by prisoners convicted of sexual offences against children is not available because the offence codes contained on the prison IT system do not distinguish between sexual offences against children and other sexual offences.
