Schools: Pedometers

- asked Her Majesty's Government:How many pedometers were distributed in schools in 2006 under the Youth Sport Trust scheme; and what was the cost per pedometer.

We distributed 9,000 pedometers to schools through the Schools on the Move project, and each pedometer cost £3.42 excluding VAT. The scheme was launched in October 2005, with the allocation of the pedometers to all schools at that time. The project ran until April 2006. No pedometers were distributed in 2006.
