- To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will update the information provided in (a) Table 50 and (b) Table 51 of Report No. 1 (the Initial Report on the Standing Reference) of the Royal Commission on the Distribution of Income and Wealth for the years 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2005.

HMRC publish a number of National Statistics on the distribution of wealth. These are available from the HMRC website at:"http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/stats/personal_wealth/menu.htm"Updating the tables from the 1975 Royal Commission on the Distribution of Income and Wealth would incur a disproportionate cost.
