National Lottery: Grants

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how much lottery funding was awarded to projects in (a) Wirral South, (b) Wirral, (c) Merseyside, (d) the North West and (e) England per head of population in each of the last five years.
Answer

The figures for grants awarded during the last five completed financial years for the areas requested are set out in these tables. The Department's Lottery Grants Database is searchable at www.lottery.culture.gov.uk and uses information supplied by the Lottery distributors. The population figures used are the mid-2005 estimates of the Office for National Statistics, except in the case of Wirral, South where the population figures used are the mid-2004 estimates of the Office for National Statistics.
