Armed Forces: Food Supplies

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what percentage of (a) beef, (b) lamb and (c) pork supplied to the armed forces is sourced from British farms.
Answer

Under the MOD's Food Supply Contract, which commenced on 1 October 2006, approximately 55 per cent. of beef, 13 per cent. of lamb and mutton and 100 per cent. of pork supplied to the armed forces is sourced from British farms.
