Cyprus: Compensation

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what assessment he has made of the North Cyprus Property Commission's ability to (a) pay compensation for and (b) order restitution of Greek Cypriot property (i) promptly and (ii) in full.
Answer

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has made no assessment of the ability of the Immovable Property Commission to fulfil its functions. This matter is properly before the European Court of Human Rights.
