Frigates

- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on the future of the remaining Type 22 frigates.

On present plans, which are routinely reviewed, the Type 22 frigates will begin to leave service around the middle of the next decade. HMS Cornwall will be withdrawn in 2015, followed by HMS Campbeltown and HMS Cumberland in 2017, then finally HMS Chatham in 2018.
