- To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many cases of domestic violence were reported to the police in (a) England and (b) Wales in each of the last three years, broken down by region.

Data on the number of domestic violence incidents reported to the police in England and Wales are collected as part of a Statutory Performance Indicator, over the past three years under the Police Performance Assessment Framework.The number of domestic violence incidents for 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07 broken down by police force area in England and Wales is given in the following table.
