Automatic Number Plate Recognition: Dover

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many vehicles were stopped at the Port of Dover as a result of the use of automatic number plate recognition in the last 12 months.
Answer

A total of 2,665 vehicles were stopped at the port of Dover as a result of the use of automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) in 2007, the most recent timeframe for which figures are available: this also includes other agency use of ANPR.
