Election Observers

- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what proportion of (a) short-term and (b) long-term observers the Government plans to contribute to the election observation mission to the Albanian parliamentary elections organised by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe.

The UK will send two long-term observers (7 per cent.) and 20 short-term observers (5 per cent.) to the election observation mission of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights for the Albanian parliamentary elections which will be held on 28 June 2009.
