- To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what financial support her Department provided to debt counselling agencies in the latest year for which figures are available.

My Department does not currently provide financial support to debt counselling agencies. However, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is providing funding of approximately £28 million in 2009-10 for the face-to-face debt advice project.
