Chinook Helicopters

- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many Chinook helicopters are inoperable because they are awaiting modifications.

In addition to eight Chinook Mk3 aircraft that are being converted to provide additional support helicopter capability, there are currently four Chinook Mk2/2a helicopters that are being modified to provide them with an enhanced capability on operations.
