Overseas Residence: Pets
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will take steps to reduce the number of pets abandoned by UK expatriates returning to the UK.
- Answer
-
While the abandonment of domestic animals by UK expatriates on their return is sadly not unheard of, it is difficult to see what action my right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary could take to prevent it and consequently there are no plans to take steps to reduce the number of pets abandoned by UK expatriates returning to the UK.
