- To ask Her Majesty's Government further to the Written Answer by Baroness Kinnock of Holyhead on 12 October (WA 10), whether their foreign policy towards the Republic of Ireland takes account of the Irish policy of requiring applicants for government jobs to have an Irish language qualification.

The Government have no reason to believe that the Irish Government are acting in a discriminatory manner towards its citizens in any of these fields.
