Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether his Department's information assurance procedures have been subject to an independent audit.
Answer

The Department's information assurance procedures have been subject to regular independent audit or reviews. These are typically conducted by the Communications-Electronic Security Group (CESG) as the National Technical Authority for Information Assurance, by auditing firms, or by independent third parties.
