Rail Franchising

- To ask the Minister of State, Department for Transport what recent representations he has received on proposed changes to the franchise arrangements for operating national rail passenger services.

The Department for Transport has received a number of representations with regard to amending the current national rail franchise arrangements. These representations have come from a number of bodies including the Association for Train Operating Companies, train operators and owning groups both from the UK and overseas.
