Excise Duties: Beer
- Question
- To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what discussions he has had concerning the proposal to levy a lower duty on cask beer; and if he will make a statement.

Alcohol duty policy is restricted by EU rules. It is not possible to levy different rates of duty on cask beer compared to beer sold in other types of packaging.
