Agriculture: Sheep Tagging

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether data on the movements of electronically identified sheep to markets and slaughterhouses will be transmitted to the recording service electronically or manually.

Electronic identification (EID) of sheep is an EU requirement, but the administration and implementation of it is an issue for devolved Administrations. In England, local authorities will continue to record batch movement data onto the central movement database on a manual basis.
