Rescue Services: Helicopters

- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence (1) pursuant to the Statement by the Chief Secretary to the Treasury of 17 June 2010, Official Report, column 1047, on public spending, when he expects the review of the search-and-rescue helicopter replacement project to be completed; and if he will make a statement;
- Answer

The review of the search and rescue helicopter project is ongoing and is being conducted as a matter of urgency. It is extensive, and is looking at all major aspects of the project. The results of the review, which is being conducted jointly with the Department for Transport, will be announced in due course.
