Peacekeeping operations: Middle East
- Question
- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what his most recent estimate is of the number of civilian deaths in Iraq consequent on actions by (a) Coalition forces and (b) insurgents since March 2003.

-
The Ministry of Defence does not collate figures for civilian casualties in Iraq. The prevention of civilian casualties was of paramount concern to force commanders operating in Iraq and the risk of this occurring was minimised at all times by the tactics and training of our forces.
