Tax Allowances: Breweries

- To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has made an assessment of the merits of placing time limits on the tax relief offered to micro-breweries.

The Treasury keeps all tax reliefs under review. Small breweries relief provides duty relief to micro and small breweries producing up to 60,000 hectolitres per annum. Decisions about tax policy are a matter for the Chancellor as part of the Budget process.
