- To ask Her Majesty’s Government what impact the proposed reductions in the number of civil servants employed in the Department for Transport will have on the time taken by that department to respond to Questions for Written Answer from Members of the House of Lords.

It is too early to say. We are currently considering how we design a department that meets our target to reduce administration costs by 33 per cent by 2014-15. As part of that we are assessing carefully how we deliver our core business alongside other priorities.
