Question: To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office which national publicity campaigns have been cancelled since the general election; and what cost to the public purse was incurred in each such case.

Answer: I have asked the chief executive of the Central Office of Information to write to the hon. Member.Letter from Mark Lund, dated 17 January 2011:"As Chief Executive of the Central Office of Information (COI), I have been asked to reply to your Parliamentary Questions 33790 regarding the cancellations of national publicity campaigns.""A record of all national publicity campaigns is not held centrally and this information could only be made available at disproportionate cost.""Of the campaigns commissioned through the Central Office of Information since the General Election in 2010, none have been cancelled that have incurred a cost to the public purse."
