United Nations Environment Programme

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for International Development how much funding he plans to provide to the United Nations Environment Programme in 2011-12.
Answer

The Department for International Development (DFID) intends to provide £1.5 million in core funding to the United Nations Environment Programme in 2011/12. This is additional to the UK's voluntary contribution to the United Nations Environment Programme handled by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), which has been £4.2 million per annum.
