Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether the Health and Safety Executive plans to amend the minimum reporting time for minor injuries from three to seven days in industries subject to the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (SI 1995/3163).

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is currently consulting on the proposed amendment to Regulation 3(2) of the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR). The proposal seeks to increase the period for reporting injuries that lead to a worker being incapacitated for work from over three to over seven days. As part of the consultation HSE will consider whether to increase the time by which the report must be made to the enforcing authority.
