Re-Export Controls Bill

- To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Baroness Wilcox on 26 April (WA 94), what discussions they had with (a) ministerial colleagues in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and (b) other ministerial colleagues, prior to taking their decision to oppose a Motion to refer the Re-Export Controls Bill to a Second Reading Committee.

Mark Prisk is the Minister for export controls and I have worked with him on the Government's response to the Re-export Controls Bill. The appropriate Cabinet Committee clearance was obtained before I expressed my reservations about the Bill on 3 December.
