Unemployment

Question
To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions how many unemployed people per job vacancy there were in each constituency in (a) June 2010 and (b) the most recent month for which figures are available.

I have been asked to reply.The information requested falls within the responsibility of the UK Statistics Authority. I have asked the authority to reply.Letter from Stephen Penneck, dated June 2011:"As Director General for the Office for National Statistics, I have been asked to reply to your Parliamentary Question asking how many unemployed people per job vacancy there were in each constituency in (a) June 2010 and (b) the most recent month for which figures are available. However, table 1 presents the number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) per Jobcentre Plus vacancy for each constituency in Great Britain for June 2010 and May 2011, the latest period available.
