- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what (a) discussions he has had with and (b) representations he has received from senior armed forces personnel on the level of the UK's military commitment in Libya.

[holding answer 20 June 2011]: I have frequent dialogue with our senior armed forces personnel regarding Defence matters including our military support to NATO operations in Libya.
