- To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what the (a) name and (b) position is of each member of the committee of the Hydrographic Department of his Department which makes recommendations for the award of the Polar Medal.

The Polar Medal Assessment Committee consists of a Chairman, Rear Admiral Nicholas Richard Lambert, UK National Hydrographer and Deputy Chief Executive (Hydrography), and a Secretary, Captain Stuart Lawrence MBE RD RND.
