Written question asked by Lord Dixon (Labour), in the House of Lords. It was answered by Earl Attlee (Conservative) on Monday, 11 July 2011.

Roads: A184

Question
To ask Her Majesty’s Government when the work of the Highway Agency on the A184 White Mare Pool intersection, which began in February 2010 at an original estimated cost of £2.9 million, will be complete; what will be the estimated final cost; and how late is the completion date in comparison to the original timescale.
Answer

Following the serious delays to these essential maintenance works, the traffic restrictions on the A184 have now been removed and the remainder of works on site will be complete by 10 August 2011. The contractual implications of the overrun are still being assessed by the Highways Agency. The completion date is 38 weeks over the original programme.
