Academies: Warwickshire

Question: To ask the Secretary of State for Education which primary schools he expects to become academies in (a) Coventry and (b) Warwickshire in the 2011-12 academic year.

Answer: At present, no primary schools in Coventry or Warwickshire have applied to convert to academy status; this may, however, change over the course of the academic year. Four primary schools in Coventry and eight primary schools in Warwickshire have already expressed an interest in converting.
